In the last couple of weeks a new SF blog io9.com has launched its run by the people behind vallywag (a SV gossip blog) its main editor is Annalee Newitz.
Its a cut above a lot of the sf sites on the Internet as the contributors do have a wider knowledge of the SF cannon than just an encyclopedic knowledge of Startrek 
It covers a wide range with a snarky style and has some more “hem hem” interesting posts one that was fun was some sexy recruiting posters for the empire forget princess Leia in a metal bikini check this recruiting poster for TIE fighter pilots.
